2024 CTACPSA OFFICERS OF THE QUARTER

2024 OFFICER OF THE 4TH QUARTER

Lorena School Resource Officer Christina Serrato and Lorena Police Chief Scott Holt.

SRO Serrato's overdue recognition is a testament to her exceptional service. She was nominated and received the prestigious Central Texas area Chief of Police and Sheriff's Association Officer of the Quarter, Q4-2024. This award, given by over 150 Law Enforcement Executives serving on the local, county, state, and federal levels, is a source of pride for our community.

Officer Serrato's nomination was a result of her dedication and relentless efforts during the summer of 2024. Her involvement in numerous complex investigations that led to multiple arrests showcased not only her role as an SRO but also her exceptional skills as an investigator.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to SRO Serrato for her unwavering dedication to the Lorena community and Lorena ISD. Her commitment and service are truly commendable.

2024 OFFICER OF THE 3RD QUARTER

Sgt Mike Noel of the Robinson Police Department and colleagues.

Sgt. Mike Noel was selected as the 2024 3rd Quarter Officer of the quarter because on July 29, 2024, he was the first responding officer to a 9-1-1 call reporting an infant choking.  Sgt. Noel found the infant unresponsive and not breathing.  He took immediate action and provided several back strikes to the infant dislodging the object blocking the infant's airway.  The infant began breathing on his own and was transferred to the care of arriving medical personnel.  Sgt. Noel's quick and decisive actions undoubtedly saved the infant's life and afforded the opportunity for a full recovery.
